Changing the Birth Narrative
It is far more dangerous to give birth in the United States compared to other industrialized countries. Women of color experience higher rates of maternal mortality and morbidity, despite socioeconomic status, and one’s zip code is often a determinant of quality of life and whether you have equitable access to essential resources and health care. With PUSH, we can change the narrative.
Women's Health
Despite the fact that women make up half the population and about half the workforce, women’s health research is significantly underfunded. Bias in women’s experiences and lack of inclusion in clinical studies are just some of the reasons advancements in women’s care continue to take a backseat to other research initiatives.
Maternal Health
Maternal health refers to a woman's health and well-being before, during, and after pregnancy. This encompasses aspects of physical, mental, emotional, and social health.

Family Health
Maternal health and well-being, reflecting experiences throughout the life course, may determine the health of the next generation and, ultimately, the health of the nation.

"On my 38th birthday, my husband and I decided to change our life by planning to have a child At my age medically, the percentage was less in my favor, with the outcome of being labeled high risk.
We Defied the odds and had a healthy baby boy.
With God, the best medical care, and resources, having a child at age 39 was not an obstacle but a blessing.
Deciding to start a family later in life can be an option. Allow PUSH to partner with you during your pregnancy journey.
You can never have enough support and resources."

"I love the word PUSH, as the nume of this organization, because it brings to mind cor notations of effort. In the spice of childbirth that effort cissically is thought to fall on the mother alone. You have all these tropes about the herculean strength of Women in labor. What we dim to change about the concept of pregnancy and childbirth is that no one has to PUSH alone. When you join our team at PUSH, we are all behind you. We're all there Pushing with you. I love that."
— Cathy
"My passion for PUSH derives from my personal experience with a high-risk pregnancy. Far too many mothers suffer from preventable complications, often due to accessibility and bias. I am humbled and honoured to be part of an organization that advocates for every mother’s right to a healthy pregnancy."
